Our Story

Jahchild

A rare
creative force that all artists aspire to be, Jahchild is truly and undeniably a talented singer, songwriter, actor, and dancer. The son of an African-American classically trained pianist father and Panamanian coloratura opera trained mother, Jahchild recognized that his ability to create could only come from above.

Jahchild has performed all over the United States, and in Israel, Panama, the Philippines, and Costa Rica to name a few.  Jachild has also performed and toured with major recording artists such as Toni Braxton, Keith Washington, Mint Condition, Chante Moore, Shanice Wilson, Howard Hewett, Yolanda Adams, Edwin Hawkins, Dottie Peoples, and others.  He recorded for the popular Grammy-awarded Chilean band, La Ley, and Grammy-nominated American Singer/Songwriter Kelis.

Jahchild is proud of this EP which he created with the late master producer Lloyd Tolbert.  Focusing on his own life experiences growing up in Inglewood, California and his
Latin and African-American cultures, Jahchild offers the listener a freshly infused vocal interpretation of love, heartache, and sex appeal.

Jahchild has appeared in the
feature films, “American Carol”, directed by David Zucker (Naked Gun, Airplane) and landed a principal role as a Portuguese speaking reporter in  “Angels and Demons” (the Prequel to the DaVinci Code) under the direction of Ron Howard,  produced by Brian Grazer.  He is also proud to have been nominated for Best Musical Director at the NAACP awards for the acclaimed play, “Hattie McDaniels”, at the Long Beach Playhouse in California.

Jahchild is a polyglot in tune with international events, having performed for the release of
Nelson Mandela,  the reception of Bishop Desmond Tutu, and Habitat for Humanity-Global Village Ethiopia.  Yet, Jahchild still gives back to the local community by donating his time and talent to the Black-Aids Institute.
